Simon’s Fund is proud to be a part of a large network of organizations who conduct youth heart screenings around the country. You can find a list of these organizations at Screen Across America, a site that was launched by Simon’s Fund in 2013.

We are offering the following youth heart screenings for the 2015-16 school year.  Check back, as we are always updating this list.

August 22 – Force Sports (Cleveland, OH)

We are so excited to launch a heart screening program in Cleveland with Cleveland Clinic Children’s. The team at Force Sports has generously agreed to play host. If you are a student, ages 9 – 19, register to get your heart checked.  We will see you at Force Sports on Richmond Rd.

September 19 – Radnor High School

Simon Prushan and Drew Harrington are bringing us back to Radnor for a screening. Last time, Simon was on FOX Good Morning getting an on-air EKG exam. Did you see it? If you are a student, ages 12 – 19, in the Radnor or surrounding school district, we hope to see you there.

    October 17 – Inter-AC (Haverford School)

We are bringing back the Protect this Heart Challenge.  Which school will get the most students screened? The winner receives an automated external defibrillator (AED) to donate to another school or youth program in need.  The Haverford School won last time.  This year, it could be Shipley, Agnes Irwin, Baldwin, Episcopal, Malvern Prep or Friends Central.

    November 7 – St. Joseph’s Preparatory School

This screening will be particular meaningful as we remember Ryan Gillyard, a student at St. Joe’s Prep who passed away earlier this year. Registration will open in October.

June 4 – Athlete Health Organization (Philadelphia)

Every year, the Athlete Health Organization (AHO) provides free sports physicals to over 1,000 high school students in Philadelphia. We are proud to be a part of this noble effort by staffing the heart screening section. To register for this screening, please contact the AHO.
