Leonard Foundation Pushes for AEDs

BAY CITY — Every day sporting events all across the country bring people together to cheer for a team.

When Bay City All Saints hosted Unionville-Sebewaing Area on Wednesday in boys basketball, the team everyone came to support didn’t wear Cougars blue or Patriots red.

It bore the name and legacy of a fallen hoops star who lives on in the hearts of many throughout the state.

The Wes Leonard Heart Team, including Wes Leonard’s mom, Jocelyn, and director Maria Flores, was on hand at Lefty Franz Court to address the crowd about the importance of Automated External Defibrillators (AED) and the lesson they learned the hard way.
