A coroner suspects the athlete who died Wednesday after working out on a treadmill at the YMCA most likely had an enlarged heart and went into sudden cardiac arrest. Brant Goins, a student at Burke County High School, was 16.
Enlarged heart is a condition where the heart goes out of rhythm and unless CPR is done rapidly or a defribillator is used, chances of survival are slim.
